Northern Tea Merchants’ connections with the coffee trade date back to the 1930s and we have been roasting coffee for more than 50 years. In that time, we have developed a broad knowledge of this popular drink.

We travel extensively to origin to visit producers and co-operatives, building relationships that ensure we import the finest quality green beans direct to our Chesterfield roastery. At the roastery, we can also roast coffees to Organic GB-ORG-05 standard (Soil Association).

We use a network of trusted coffee brokers, as well as direct contacts with growers, to ensure continuity of supply of our fine quality coffees. This also enables us to supply both mainstream and rarer, single estate coffees – both available as either beans of ground coffee. We can also source and roast coffees of your choice should you have a specific recipe you wish to follow.
